Bee City

We went to Bee City a few weeks ago - major fun for the kiddos.  It had a neat petting/feeding zoo as well as a honeybee hives to observe.  We made it safely out with only one bee sting - Frances survived, but I think it was more traumatic for me.  Note to self for future bee city visits:  do not put child in cute smocked dress for bees to get trapped in when such child ventures off path.

Hand-Me-Downs

I don't get to pass many things down from Charles to Frances, but her "new" white sandals are one hand-me-down that are perfect for both my little boy and little girl.  We visited the aquarium yesterday for the billionth time - I've never really noticed tourist season here before...until yesterday - it must have been spring break across America and everyone flocked to Charleston (and the aquarium in particular).  Despite the crowds, we had a great time.

Back It Up

Backing up a month, we took a trip to Asheville for one of Jacob's vacation weeks.  Jacob absolutely loves the cold weather, so we decided a trip to the mountains was just what we all needed.  It was so nice to take a "family vacation."  I don't know if I would call it relaxing considering we had two kids in tow, but we did have a blast.  And to have a ton of uninterrupted time together made the trip all worth it.

To Match

Here is the cape I made for F to match her big brother's cape.  They both love them, and I made hers a tad big for room to grow.
