Feeding the Ducks
Going through old pics and found these - we went to feed the ducks a few months ago at Hampton Park - we had a blast - Frances looking a little unsure and Charles had one nip his finger, but he was not scarred...he wants to go back!

Life as a Two Year Old
I was watching a friend's little girl a few weeks ago and was so entertained at the conversation between these 2 year olds now that they are both talking. I think it went something like this -
C: I have a boo boo on my face.
MB: I have a boo boo on my face too. You have boo boo on your face - right there?
C: Yes, I have boo boo on my face when I fell with the Ristmas teelee lights. It hurt.
And here is a picture of them feeding our new fish named Bu Fish (blue fish)

One Year Stats
Here is our little scooter at one year - I will post more birthday pictures later, but just wanted to update you on her while it was on my mind. With a move, new fellowship and new baby, Frances' first year has flown by. I could not ask for a sweeter little girl - she has been so easy and fun, yet she has a little spunk to her too.
She has started walking! She took her first steps about a week before her actual birthday and is now walking about 60% of the time in between cruising and scooting. She never crawled, just "scooted."
She loves her naps and cuddling, two of which Charles could do without if it wasn't for mommy's requests. She is fascinated with her big brother and everything he does - his toys, his attention, his laughing, his crying, his running around the house. So much fun to watch their interest in each other is constant entertainment. Every morning, Charles asks, "Where'd Frances go?" and she just lights up when she sees his face. He sings his ABC's in the car to her if she is upset or annoyed, and he tells her that the electrical outlets are "dangerous."
She is not quite into books as much as Charles was at this age (as far as my memory serves). Not sure if it's just he difference between the two or I don't have as much time to read to her, something I definitely need to work on.
She loves, loves vegetables and pretty much any type of food - fish, black olives, quesadillas, you name it. Completely opposite of Charles who loves fruit and could eat PB&J for every meal. She is no longer nursing - I have fulfilled my one year "commitment." Sometimes I miss the snuggling, other days I feel freedom since she never actually took a bottle. But she adapted to cow's milk and a sippy cup without much fuss at all.
Below were her stats at her one-year checkup - I thought I'd throw in Charles' one year stats as well for a little comparison:
Weight: 19 lbs 3 oz (25%) - Charles was 23 lbs 5 oz (50%)
Height: 30" (75%) - Charles was 31" (80%)
Head: 17 3/4" (50%) - Charles was 18 3/4" (80%)
