Weekend in the Country

Some of our good friends invited us for a weekend in the country at the end of January.  We originally met them over five years ago in B'ham at our old church, but they recently moved back home which is now our home!  We couldn't wait to spend some time with their sweet family of five and catch up with each other.  It was so nice to get away from the "city" life and just relax.  We played cornhole, jumped in ice puddles, played with toys and games, read books, ate yummy food, and really just enjoyed each other's company.  Oh yes, and at one point we were running away from a late night bat that had ventured its way into the cabin - scary, but quite amusing to say the least.
